Education is one of the fundamental factors of development; both social and economic. AFGRI recognises that sustainable education requires a dynamic approach and therefore we invite prospective learners to apply for a variety of learning programmes.
A programme for unemployed learners who have preferably completed their studies successfully in a defined scarce and/or critical skill in a specific discipline and who then needs workplace exposure in order to improve their employment opportunities.
As a responsible corporate citizen, we offer learnership programme opportunities for unemployed matriculants who have passed mathematics and physical science (65% and above). The programme is structured to enable the learners to experience classroom and practical on-the-job training. Learners who successfully complete the programme are awarded with a Further Education and Training Certificate, which is registered with the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) on a NQF Level 2.
Graduate Placement replaces ‘Workplace Experience’. Graduate Placement refers to learners who have already obtained a qualification but require workplace practical experience for a period of a year.
We run an apprenticeship programme for 3 years underpinned by AgriSETA requirements within our Equipment business with a sole focus on John Deere products. Our goal is to develop Tractor and Farm Equipment Technicians.
We offer accredited occupation-based learning programmes aimed at building skills that have economic value to our employees and unemployed youth within our communities of reach.
We offer structured mentorship programmes to unemployed youth to help develop key talent and boost engagement through education and learning from our expert team.
