FOR FARMERS
The approach is to support the gradual growth of the new era farmer and enable commercial sustainability through education, mentorship and provision of technical advice throughout the programme.
The selection processes for new entries/beneficiaries are based on criteria such as a passion for farming and the drive to be successful. Farmers qualifying for and entering the programme sign a five-year Enterprise/Supplier Development Agreement and in this timeframe and beyond are exposed to the entire AFGRI service offering.
AFGRI Agri Services’ numerous businesses are able to assist with solutions including financial services, insurance, mechanisation, grain procurement, grain storage, marketing and more through AFGRI Financial Solutions, AFGRI Equipment and AFGRI Grain Management, amongst others.

Our Objectives
- To train and develop new era farmers to ensure sustainable and viable successful farmers.
- To unlock the potential of the farmers/beneficiaries in a project and the identified farmland/farming units through funding, training, development and market access.
Qualifying Criteria
Our farmer development programme is for qualifying farmers who meet the minimum criteria, which include:
- A passion for agriculture/farming
- Driven individuals
- Access to farmland
We do not turn away people for lack of:
- Technical experience
- Availability of equipment
- A literacy level – only required to determine training method
